The Digital Health Agency has established and implemented a National Health Terminology Service to provide a standardized and consistent set of healthcare terms, diagnosis codes, procedure codes, and other coded health data. This service will support all stakeholders in enabling health information exchange and enhancing system interoperability by ensuring effective, accurate, and unambiguous communication. It will facilitate the collaborative management, publication, versioning, and distribution of standardized data dictionaries and other relevant content. Health sector stakeholders will be able to access and integrate this content into the digital health systems they implement at various levels of the health system. The National Terminology Service will be rolled out across the entire health sector and made accessible to both state and non-state actors.
